Orgulhosas '26

In the parish of Nevogilde, in the municipality of Lousada, festivities are held in honour of Nossa Senhora da Ajuda, a Marian invocation venerated with devotion by the local community. Around this devotion, the festival known as 'Orgulhosas' is organised, taking place usually between the end of August and the beginning of September. As is typical of the religious festivities of the region, the celebration unites faith and the life of the land: there are religious ceremonies and processions dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Ajuda, alongside music, concerts and cultural activities that bring the community together. Fireworks also mark the highlights of these festive days. Admission is free, making 'Orgulhosas' an event open to everyone, blending devotion to the patron saint with the lively spirit that animates Nevogilde year after year.
