biography
Banda de Vilela is a Portuguese philharmonic band founded in 1860, with a long history and a journey marked by a significant cultural contribution. Over the years it has established itself as a reference in the philharmonic landscape, having achieved international recognition, including first prizes in music competitions.
It is currently directed by Maestro Jose Ricardo Freitas, keeping alive a musical tradition of more than a century and a half.
