Pólo Norte are a Portuguese pop-rock band formed in 1992 in Belas, Sintra. The project was born at the hands of Miguel Gameiro, who takes on lead vocals and the main songwriting responsibilities, alongside names such as António Villas-Boas, Rodrigo Ulrich, Francisco Aragão, Tó Rodrigues and Tiago Oliveira.
Over more than three decades of activity, the line-up has evolved, and currently features Miguel Gameiro (vocals), Tó Almeida (guitar), Rui Fadigas (bass) and Rui Carvalho (drums). With several albums released, Pólo Norte are recognised for their mark on the national pop-rock scene and for the influence they have left on Portuguese music.
