Miguel Gameiro was born in Lisbon on 15 February 1974 and is one of the most recognised voices in Portuguese music. He began his career in 1992 as co-founder of the band Polo Norte, where his passion for songwriting and composition played a decisive role in the creation of some of the group's most iconic tracks. The band's first album, 'Expedicao', was released in 1994.
Throughout his career he collaborated with Paulo Pedro Goncalves on the project Ovelha Negra and took part in the tour Portugal A Cantar. In 2010, with Polo Norte on hiatus, he released his debut solo album, 'A Porta ao Lado', establishing himself as a solo artist.
