biography
The Escola de Música António Pinho is the school of the Sociedade Artística Banda de Vale de Cambra, and its main purpose is to train musicians for the band; the teachers are musicians from the band itself. The name honours António Pinho, the teacher who taught solfège and instrument to generations of students there.
It accepts students from the age of two and a half, with no upper age limit, and organises three major recitals every year. In June 2026, it performed an operetta at the Festas do Município e de Santo António, in Vale de Cambra.
