biography
The Banda de Música da Lixa is a musical ensemble based in Lixa, in the municipality of Felgueiras. As a wind band, it dedicates itself to performing the philharmonic repertoire and marching to enliven local festivals, pilgrimages and religious celebrations in the region.
Over the years, it has been present at numerous popular festivities in the north of the country, namely the celebrations in honour of Nossa Senhora da Estrela in Boassas, of Santo Tirso in Meinedo, of Santa Maria in Airães and of Nossa Senhora do Alívio in Felgueiras, accompanying processions and brightening up outdoor festivities.
