biography
The Associação Banda Filarmónica de São Martinho da Gandra has its roots in the Banda Musical de São Martinho da Gandra, founded in 1836, in the municipality of Ponte de Lima, in the district of Viana do Castelo. It currently comprises around 60 members, most of them young people from the Ribeira Lima region.
The association is registered and is a member of the Federação Regional das Bandas do Minho, keeping alive the philharmonic tradition of its homeland by enlivening the popular festivities and celebrations of the region.
