The Festival in honour of Saint Sebastian is celebrated in Salto, in the municipality of Montalegre, on 20 January 2026, the saint's feast day. In the morning there is a solemn Eucharist at the Parish Church, followed by a procession to the Igreja Nova and the blessing of bread and wine, and then the sale and handover of the 'mordomos'. In the afternoon, the Zés Pereiras Os Três Canecos group and a concertina group take to the stage, and the festivities end with the roda, the distribution of bread and wine.
