Festival in Honour of Saint Anthony the Abbot

The Festival in Honour of Saint Antão takes place in Benespera, in the municipality of Guarda, on 17 and 18 January 2026. On Saturday there is Laus Perennis with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel of Our Lady dos Anjos, followed by a procession from the chapel to the Parish Church and a Mass in honour of Saint Antão; in the evening, musical entertainment with Virgílio Faleiro. On Sunday, Mass is celebrated, followed by a procession in honour of the saint.
