The Festival of Our Lady da Ribeira brings together Palhais and Benvende, in the municipality of Trancoso, on 16 and 17 May 2026. On Saturday evening, the rosary and candlelit procession take place, followed by a traditional gathering with the local community and a dance with Banda Alive. On Sunday there is a solemn mass in honour of Our Lady da Ribeira, the Pilgrimage Festival of the Flocks around the chapel, the auctioning of offerings, a performance by Rancho Folclórico de Palhais and, in the evening, a dance with the group Contrabando. There is a funfair throughout the festivities and a permanent bar service.
