The 1st Summer Carnival of Marinhais was born as a celebration that brings together the festive spirit of carnival and the warmth of summer, marking the start of the season's festivities. Alongside the revelry, the event draws on local traditions, with music, dance and customs that give identity to this village in the parish of Marinhais, in the municipality of Salvaterra de Magos.
The popular dimension is joined by a religious one, with devotion to Our Lady of the Conception occupying a central place. The festival includes a Pilgrimage Festival to the Capela da Misericórdia, a moment that brings the community together and reinforces the value of the cultural and religious heritage of the place.
