Rancho das Rendilheiras do Monte is a traditional group from Vila do Conde, in Douro Litoral, considered the oldest rancho in Portugal, founded in 1918. Over the years it has grown and currently comprises seven groups, including the adult rancho founded in 1918, a children's rancho founded in 1922, and several old guard ranchos established from 1985 onwards.
The group performs extensively at national and international level, with performances in Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Madeira and Brazil. Its costume has evolved over time, and is currently inspired by the art of lacemaking.
