Os Quatro e Meia are a Portuguese band from Coimbra, formed in 2013 by university students. The group is made up of six members — Tiago Nogueira, Ricardo Liz Almeida, João Cristóvão Rodrigues, Pedro Figueiredo, Rui Marques and Mário Ferreira — and are known for a sound that blends pop with folk. Their curious name was born from a joke about the short stature of one of the members.
Since 2017, the band has gained national recognition. In 2023 they won the Globo de Ouro for Best Song of the Year with 'Na escola', a track that in 2024 also earned them the aRi[t]mar award for best Portuguese song.
