They formed the duo in 2002 to perform in venues too small for a full band. Their repertoire is mainly pop rock sung in Portuguese, with traditional Azorean music such as the chamarrita.
Hugo Duarte studied at the Conservatório Regional da Horta and Rui Rodrigues played in the Filarmónica Artista Faialense and in the Orquestra de Música Ligeira da Câmara Municipal da Horta. On 7 November 2026 they will perform at the Festa do Magusto da Horta dance.
