biography
The Grupo de Folclore da Casa do Povo de Santana was founded in 1978 and is dedicated to promoting and preserving Madeiran culture through traditional music and dance. The group performs songs and dances typical of the region, showcasing the costumes, rhythms and traditions of Madeira.
Made up of 42 members, aged between 7 and 73, the group brings together several generations around a shared purpose. Throughout its history, it has taken part in folk festivals at both national and international level.
