biography
Cinfarra is a brass band from Cinfães created at the invitation of the local council; the name combines Cinfães and 'farra' (meaning revelry). The eleven musicians come from the region's philharmonic societies and the repertoire draws on pop, rock and traditional Portuguese music.
The band performs on the move, without a stage or sound system, and in less than a year has given over a hundred performances at festivals across the country.
