Cantadeiras de Malpica do Tejo are a group dedicated to traditional singing from the village of Malpica do Tejo, in the municipality of Castelo Branco. Their mission is to preserve and promote the local songbook, performing pieces from the region's oral tradition, including 'Maria Faia'.
In 2025, the group took part in the Festival José Afonso, where they performed songs from the local repertoire. Cantadeiras de Malpica do Tejo also stand out for promoting the region's heritage, having supported the candidacy of the Jardim do Paço Episcopal as one of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal.
