Banda Marcial da Foz do Douro – Filarmónica do Porto is a traditional musical ensemble founded in 1883, bringing together musicians of all ages. As a non-profit musical association, it is dedicated to the promotion and transmission of musical art, maintaining a music school and preserving the traditions and identity of Foz do Douro. It is currently the only band in the city of Porto.
Throughout its history, the band has played a cultural and educational role, also taking part in contemporary projects, such as a session with percussionist Nuno Aroso. It performs at concerts and street parades, bringing life to some of the city's most iconic spaces.
